Short Biography
Professor Paul Ritvo, PhD, CPsych: Paul Ritvo is a Professor of Kinesiology and Health Science and Psychology at York University in Toronto, Ontario. He is a prolific researcher and writer in mental health, mindfulness meditation, exercise effects and online intervention. He is an author of over 160 journal articles and three books. Currently his research funding originates from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research, Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, and the Canadian Pain Society. Amongst other topics, he is currently researching mindfulness and cognitive behavioural therapy in the treatment of chronic pain and cellular stress in relation to lab-based stressors..
