Short Biographies
- Yvone Thackray, BSc., MSc, FHEA: Yvonne Thackray is a Clinical Academic with a distinguished career spanning education, clinical leadership, and healthcare policy. Her recent roles include Senior Lecturer, Superintendent Mammographer, and Manager of the North Central London Imaging Academy. She has also served as NHS England’s Regional Training and Development Lead for the South West and currently holds positions as an Adviser to the New Hospitals Programme and a CQC Specialist Adviser. From 2020 to 2022, Yvonne chaired the Approval and Accreditation Board for the Society and College of Radiographers. With a strong background in diagnostic imaging and breast services, she is deeply committed to advancing education, workforce development, and service improvement. In 2025, she presented a research poster at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR), contributing to ongoing discussions on radiologic education and clinical practice. Yvonne’s work reflects a dynamic integration of research, clinical expertise, and policy influence to foster innovation and excellence in imaging services.
