At the end of this session, participants will:
- Understand the hazards associated with MRI, including the risks of burns and thermal effects due to RF, as well as the dangers of ferromagnetic objects that can become projectiles and cause torque.
- Be familiar with the essential processes to prevent MRI-related accidents, which includes conducting thorough patient screening and respectfully declining any contraindicated objects within the 9 Gauss line.
- Know how to effectively implement safety protocols in the MRI environment, adhering strictly to the safety guidelines outlined in the ACR manual.
