Short Biographies
Mr. Bruno Bellotto B.Sc., MRT(R), CIIP, PMP: Bruno Bellotto graduated from University of Toronto with a B.Sc. in Health Sciences, then completed The Michener’s Radiography program. He started work as an MRT(R) in a Mississauga private X-ray clinic, then moved to work at Credit Valley Hospital (CVH) as an MRT(R) but also started assisting with their new PACS system. After 6 yrs at CVH he moved to Markham Stouffville Hospital as the Imaging Informatics Administrator where he is currently. To stay healthy, Bruno cycles/swims/hikes, reads, cooks, plays music, makes wine, and enjoys family and friends.
Prof. Christo El Morr, PhD: Christo El Morr is an Associate Professor of Health Informatics, the Health Informatics Certificate Coordinator, and former Undergraduate Program Director at the School of Health Policy and Management at York University; he is also a Research Scientist at North York General Hospital, Toronto. His research covers Health Informatics and Global eHealth with a focus on Virtual Care, Health Virtual Communities and Machine Learning for Health, particularly in the domain of Mental Health, Chronic Disease Management, Health Promotion and Health Services Research. His work in Global eHealth addresses Human and Disability Rights, Equity, and Gender Based Violence. He has published books, chapters, and articles in these areas including a book on Analytics in Healthcare and the “first of its kind” Health Informatics book in Canada. .
