Short Biographies

Dr. Euthimios Tim Agadakos, PhD : Euthimios Tim Agadakos serves as the Regional Director for Europe of the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists (ISRRT), the president of the Panhellenic Society of Radiological Technologists, and is an academic fellow at West Attica University. With extensive expertise in computed tomography (CT), radiation protection, and patient safety, he champions continuous professional development (CPD) and continuous quality improvement (CQI) in medical imaging. Tim Agadakos completed his education in Greece and Australia, building a significant career in both countries. His professional focus includes the development of advanced medical imaging systems and the design of CT protocols that prioritize patient safety and diagnostic accuracy. His contributions to the field are well-regarded, particularly in the areas of dose reduction strategies and the implementation of novel technologies in clinical practice. An active participant in scientific forums, Tim regularly contributes to international conferences and seminars. His role as an educator in CPD programs underscores his commitment to lifelong learning and professional excellence. He is also a vocal advocate for radiographers, serving on various governmental committees to influence policy and improve professional standards. In recognition of his dedication and contributions to the field, Tim Agadakos has been instrumental in organizing webinars and educational events that provide critical updates and training for radiological technologists. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Medical Radiation Technology (MRT), a Master of Science (MSc) in Healthcare Management, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medicine. His academic and professional credentials reflect his comprehensive knowledge and expertise, making him a distinguished leader and innovator in the field of radiological technology.

Marvalyn Kelly-Whyte BSc, CD(R), MRT(R)(CT)(IR): Ms. Whyte is a CT/IR technologist at the Scarborough Health Network, General campus. Marvalyn has been a MRT for over 33 years, with more than 15 years experience in CT and IR. Marvalyn was also an external instructor at the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences where she worked with Internationally Trained Professionals in the Radiography Bridging program for about 12 years. She has held various positions which included general MRT, managerial, and teaching roles. She obtained her diploma in Radiography from the School of Medical Radiation Technology in Kingston, Jamaica. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of the West Indies in Management Studies, Economics and International Relations. Marvalyn believes in continuing education and professional development and has completed the Advance certificate in CT Imaging and Interventional Radiology with the CAMRT.
