About the Education Day
The focus of this Education Day is on Computed Tomography Imaging: Safety & Image Quality; attendees will be able to:
1. Understand the basic fundamentals of CT and its evolution.
2. Understand the types of contrast media used in CT.
3. Analyze adverse reactions and contraindications to contrast media used in CT.
4. Understand the CT dose as compared to other diagnostic studies.
5. Review the radiation protection principles used in CT.
6. Understand the common artifacts in CT affecting image quality.
7. Learn trauma imaging protocols in CT (a case study).

Ms. Jiyoti Sharma – MRT(R), BSc., MFC.
CT Charge Technologist at St. Joseph’s Health Centre Toronto
Short Biographies
Ms. Sharma carries BSC in Medical Technology, a Master degree in Finance, and a certificate in Health Care Management.
She is working as a Radiological Technologist since 1999. She worked at the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in India for two years before coming to Canada. After writing her CAMRT exam, she started working at the St. Joseph’s Health Centre. Jyoti has been working in CT since 2005. She worked as a CT and Interventional Charge Technologist at Brampton Civic Hospital for two years. Currently She is working as a CT charge Technologist at St. Joseph’s Health Centre Toronto and a Diagnostic Imaging assessor at Institute for Quality Management in Health (IQMH).
