About the Live Webinar

The focus of this Live Webinar is on Clinical CT ; the webinar will cover:

  • Review gastrointestinal (GI) anatomy.
  • Differentiate between upper and lower GI bleeding by anatomical landmarks and clinical presentations.
  • List laboratory tests and imaging techniques available to aid in the diagnosis of GI bleeding.
  • Discuss how computed tomography angiography (CTA) and computed tomography enterography (CTE) are used to image GI bleeds.
  • Describe dose reduction methods being utilized in CT protocols for GI bleed.
  • Explain the concept and operational models of remote CT scanning.
  • Describe the roles and responsibilities of personnel involved in remote scanning.
  • Evaluate the benefits and opportunities associated with remote CT Scanning.
  • Identify key safety, regulatory, and ethical considerations in remote scanning.

Short Biographies

Kendall C. Youngman, MSRS, RT(R)(CT)(MR)(ARRT): Kendall Youngman is the MRI/CT Program Director and an Associate Professor in the Medical Laboratory and Radiation Sciences Program at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR. Before entering academia, Kendall worked as a CT technologist for 14 years at a regional Arkansas hospital. Her service activities include Lambda Nu National Honor Society Executive Secretary, American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT) MRI and CT curriculum committee volunteer, and Arkansas Society of Radiologic Technologist (ArSRT) Chair. Kendall has most recently had the privilege to co-author a textbook titled Rad Tech’s Guide to Clinical Computed Tomography scheduled to be released in May 2026.

Taylor Ward, Ph.D., R.T.(R)(CT)(MR)(ARRT): Dr. Ward is an Associate Professor of Radiologic Sciences at Weber State University. She is credentialed through the ARRT in Radiography, Computed Tomography, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. In her current role, she is the Educational Director for the Computed Tomography program and also teaches Master’s courses on Artificial Intelligence, Leadership, and Statistics. She is currently serving as a delegate for the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Education Chapter and has previously served as the Computed Tomography Chapter chair. Dr. Ward has most recently had the privilege to co-author a textbook titled Rad Tech’s Guide to Clinical Computed Tomography scheduled for release in May 2026.
