Ms. Valentina Al Hamouche\, MRT(R)\, MSc.\n\n\n\nShort Biographies \nMs. Debbie Tarshis: Debbie Tarshis is counsel at the law firm of WeirFoulds LLP. WeirFoulds is a medium-sized law firm in Ontario which has provided legal services to its clients for over 150 years.\nDebbie acts as general counsel to professional regulatory bodies\, including providing ongoing advice to the Colleges’ Registrars\, boards of directors and committees on all of their policies\, procedures and programs to regulate the professions in the public interest.\nShe provides advice to the Colleges on legislative initiatives that affect their statutory mandate and the practice of the professions\, and assists in preparing submissions to government advisory bodies and legislative standing committees.  \nMs. Denise Carraretto: Since 2009 Denise has held the position of Clinical Instructor at SickKids.  In 1989 she received her Radiological Technology Diploma from The Toronto Institute of Medical Technology (currently The Michener Institute).   She held the position of Team Leader in GI/GU X-ray and assisted in the implementation of both the Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS system.  Denise was a key resource in supporting the process changes in the transition from film to digital.\nAfter having obtained her Clinical Educators Certificate\, Denise enables students to successfully complete the Radiological Technology program by ensuring proper student orientation\, scheduling\, supervision and clinical training.  Denise also assists in providing orientation and training to new staff.  She organizes and supports continuing education opportunities to keep staff current.  She is a member of the Inter-Professional Educators team at SickKids and currently co-chairs meetings. \nDr. Mu’taz Alnassar: Dr. Alnassar is a staff pediatric radiologist at the McMaster Children’s Hospital and Assistant professor at the department of Diagnostic Imaging\, McMaster University\, Hamilton.\nHe obtained his degree in Diagnostic Imaging from Jordan\, after which he completed four years of fellowship in general pediatric radiology and pediatric neuroimaging at the hospital for Sick Children and the University of Toronto. Dr. Alnassar was awarded the RSNA Roentgen Resident/ Fellow Research Award. \nMs. Constance Krajewski: Connie Krajewski is a technologist who has been at the Hospital for Sick Children for a number of years. She has held a variety of positions over this time and currently is a Senior Technologist and Clinical Instructor in Radiography.\nConnie has worked with the EOS System since it was first introduced at SickKids and is the resident and “go to” person. \nMs. Nazig Gabriel: Nazig is a sociable and approachable professional who has devoted herself to technology\, medicine\, and the wellbeing of people her entire life. A natural leader who strives for excellence by inspiring and motivating team members to achieve outstanding results with over five years of administrative\, coordinator\, and clinical experience. A Master of Health Informatics Candidate at the University of Toronto by day and a certified Radiological Technologist by night with both adult and pediatric experience at St Michael’s Hospital and Sick Kids\, respectively. A patient focused professional with the ability to prioritize and organize effective work flow and patient care across clinical settings. \nMs. Valentina Al Hamouche: Valentina holds an M.Sc. Health Systems Management\, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine\, University of London\, UK (2006) and B.Sc. (Hons) in Radiography Anglia Polytechnic University\, Cambridge\, UK Applied Health Sciences Department\, Division of Radiography (1996). She has also received a FAETC: Further Adult and Education Teacher’s Certificate from the College of North-East London\, UK (1991)\, and a Diploma in Radiologic Technology American University of Beirut-Medical Centre Radiologic Technology Training Program\, Lebanon (1989). In 1994\, she has pursued further education and training in radiation safety sponsored by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at the International Center of Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste Italy.\nShe is a registration committee member at the College of Radiological Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO). She is certified with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).\nIn 2017 she founded VCA Education Solutions for Health Professionals\, Inc.

Currently she holds a position as an MRI Charge Technologist at Princess Margaret Hospital\, Department of Radiation Oncology and Lecturer\, Radiation Medicine Program University of Toronto. Anna has over 20 years of experience in radiography\, CT and clinical and research MRI. For the last 15 years specializing in MRI applications for image-guided radiation therapy and cancer treatment response. \nDr. Mohamed Sakr : Dr. Sakr ha an MD degree\, a Master in Radiodiagnosis and a PhD in MRI and Neuroimaging. After receiving his MD degree\, Dr. Sakr had 4 years residency in Radiodiagnosis at Ain Shams University Hospitals\, Egypt. Since 1995\, He worked as an Assistant Professor of Medical Imaging at the radiology Department of the Faculty of Medicine\, Ain Shams University\, Cairo\, Egypt.\nDr. Sakr has 20 Years of experience as a Consultant Radiologist and Medical Sonologist at educational\, governmental and private Hospitals and he managed Radiology Department of a group of Hospitals.\nHe received a Fellowship in Neuroimaging at MGH\, Boston\, MA\, USA. He is a Member of the ESRNM (Egyptian Society of Radiology & Nuclear Medicine). In Canada\, he us a Certified Medical Radiation Technologist in Radiography and MRI by the CAMRT and Registered as Radiography and MRI Technologist by the CMRTO. He Published scientific assays\, thesis and papers mostly related to MRI and neuroimaging with international experience in teaching and supervising radiology students. \nMs. Kitty Chan: Ms. Chan joined the Princess Margaret Hospital as a radiation therapist in 2006. She enjoys both the patient care and research aspects of radiation therapy. Kitty has worked in a combined treatment and research therapist role involving interventional MRI studies in prostate cancer. She has a vast interest in studying time and efficiency in health care\, and published an article titled “Investigating patient wait times for daily outpatient radiotherapy appointments”. She graduated from the Masters of Health Science (MHSc) degree in Radiation Sciences at the University of Toronto in 2011. As part of her Master’s research project\, she utilized the Lean Method to study the MR-guided brachytherapy process for treatment of cervical cancer. Kitty joined the brachytherapy team as a Clinical Specialist Radiation Therapist (CSRT) since 2012 and is currently taking a leadership role as the co-chair of CSRT Community of Practice at the Cancer Care Ontario. \nMs. Laura Dalimonte: Ms. Dalimonte received her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Windsor in 2000. She completed the joint degree/diploma Medical Radiation Sciences from the University of Toronto/Michener Institute in 2005. She recently graduated with a Masters in Health Sciences from the University of Toronto in 2013.\nShe joined the Sunnybrook Team in 2006 and has held various positions within the organization including team lead\, research radiation therapist and most recently Clinical Specialist Radiation Therapist (CSRT) with the Brachytherapy Program. She is a Lecturer at the Department of Radiation Oncology\, University of Toronto and a Clinical Educator with The Michener Institute teaching both at the undergraduate and graduate level. Laura’s research and scholarly activity is focused on improving the care and clinical outcomes of our patients and their families during their cancer journey. \nMs. Darby Erler: Ms. Erler is the Clinical Specialist Radiation Therapist for the Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) Program at the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook and an Instructor with the Department of Radiation Oncology\, University of Toronto. She is also a graduate of University of Toronto’s Master of Health Science in Medical Radiation Sciences program. Her research areas of interest include assessing clinical outcomes associated with the use of SBRT in oligometastatic disease and primary cancers\, evaluating innovations in treatment delivery and improving the patient experience with the use of patient reported outcomes.

She worked at the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in India for two years before coming to Canada. After writing her CAMRT exam\, she started working at the St. Joseph’s Health Centre. Jyoti has been working in CT since 2005. She worked as a CT and Interventional Charge Technologist at Brampton Civic Hospital for two years. Currently She is working as a CT charge Technologist at St. Joseph’s Health Centre Toronto and a Diagnostic Imaging assessor at Institute for Quality Management in Health (IQMH).
