Karim\, PhD\, PEng\, MBA: SKarim has developed novel X-ray imaging devices and systems since 1998. He has supported two start-ups (Ignis Innovation and Ultrascan) and founded two companies (ActivPixel and KA Imaging) in the past two decades. He has raised more than $15M in research grant funding\, trained over 40 PhD and MASc students\, has co-authored 250+ publications and 50+ patents. Some of the X-ray circuit technology he developed is now used in ultrasonic fingerprint sensors in mobile phones and tablets. \nJay Potipcoe\, BA\, MRT(R): Jay is designated MRT with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)\, having worked at hospitals and private imaging facilities for the past years. Jay has a strong background in general radiography\, gastric fluoroscopy\, orthopaedic intraoperative C-arm fluoroscopy\, CT\, and portable trauma radiography in ER settings. He is also experienced in infection control. Before joining KA Imaging as an Applications Specialist\, he worked on the frontlines\, providing X-ray exams and CT scans to patients suffering from COVID-19.

Her core beliefs include incorporating mindfulness\, integrative medicine\, and a humanistic approach into patient care. Her passions include reducing MRI patient anxiety\, bringing safe health and wellness practices to medical imaging technologists and patients through education. Selena has been in medical imaging for 28 years and holds a master’s degree in health and wellness specializing in MRI patient care and complementary alternative medicine. Additionally\, she holds certifications in conflict resolution\, customer service management and yoga instruction.  She has spoken at the world’s largest radiology conferences\, including RSNA (Radiologic Society of North America)\, ESR (European Society of Radiology)\, and JSRT (Japanese Society of Radiologic Technology). Selena’s ultimate goal is teaching technologists how to keep patients calm\, reducing prematurely canceled exams so they can get better sooner\, while taking care of themselves and reducing the stress of MRI scanning. \nPrasaanthan Gopee-Ramanan\, HBSc\, RTR\, MD\, FRCPC: Prasa is an assistant professor at McMaster University Department of Radiology and staff breast and body radiologist at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre\, Hamilton Health Sciences. Prasa studied Human Biology at UofT St. George from 2005 to 2009\, Medical Radiation Sciences specializing as a radiographer from 2009 to 2012\, attended medical school at McMaster University from 2012 to 2015 and completed specialty residency training in Diagnostic Radiology from 2015 to 2020 also at McMaster University. He has completed 1-year subspecialty fellowship in Women’s Imaging at UoT. Prasa has keen academic interests in medical education\, mentorship\, and quality assurance among other domains. Outside of academia\, Prasa is a lover of spending time with his wife\, son\, and extended family. He is also an Indian classical music enthusiast\, a mindfulness and life balance practitioner\, and budding cyclist. \nAnna Simeonov\, MSc\, MRT (MR)(R): MRI Charge Technologist and MRI Safety Officer at Princess Margaret Cancer Center\, Department of Radiation Oncology\, Lecturer\, Radiation Medicine Program University of Toronto. Anna has over 25 years of experience in radiography\, CT\, clinical and research MRI. For the last 18 years specializing in MRI applications for image-guided radiation therapy planning\, cancer treatment response and adaptation. \nRyan Hazell\, BSc\, BEd\, MRT(R)(MR): Ryan is an MRI Clinical Applications Specialist at Canon Medical. He has 10 years of experience working as a technologist in x-ray\, CT and MR. He worked for a number of years in all three modalities\, until he began teaching at the Michener Institute where he worked for three years before shifting his focus to MRI only. She practised as a front-line MRT at Sick Kids hospital\, where she became a supervisor\, and then the Technical Director of the Diagnostic Imaging department where she supported MRTs\, radiologists and staff in radiography\, nuclear medicine\, ultrasound and MRI.\nLinda joined the College of Medical Radiation Technologists in 1996 as the Deputy Registrar. She completed a Masters degree in public policy at Queen’s University\, and became the Registrar & CEO of CMRITO in 2007.Regine King: \, PhD in Social Work\, Dr. Régine Uwibereyeho King is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of MSW Leadership\, in the Faculty of Social Work\, University of Calgary. King has a PhD in Social Work from University of Toronto. Her research interests include social processes of healing\, forgiveness and reconciliation\, refugee issues\, cross-cultural mental health\, indigenous knowledges\, and racial justice. Her research is informed by anti-colonial and antiracist perspectives. King is a community-based researcher who utilizes critical ethnography and critical storytelling/narrative methods in her research projects. King’s community engagement includes genocide prevention\, various academic committees\, advocacy\, and support to marginalized communities.

In 2018\, she was appointed to represent CMRITO at Accreditation Canada. \nMs. Sheetal Ruparelia\, BSc. (Hons)\, MRT(R) : Sheetal studied radiography in England where she got a BSc. (Hons) in Diagnostic Imaging and further pursued her career with her interest in breast imaging by attaining a PgC in Mammography. She qualified in 2006 and has practiced in various hospitals and clinics and held several responsibilities such as Quality assurance of Imaging department. She moved to Canada in 2016 where she attained her CAMRT certification and started working immediately in general radiography\, BMD and Mammography. She worked at Princess Margaret hospital in the breast imaging department. Currently she is working at Trillium Health Partners where she performs mammograms and breast ultrasounds. \nDr. Nejc Mekis\, PhD\, MSc\, rad. technol.\, MSc. ecotechnol\, BSc (Hons) radiography: currently working at the Faculty of Health Sciences\, the University of Ljubljana\, where he is head of research and head of radiology lab at the Medical imaging and radiotherapy department. His field of lectures at 1st\, 2nd and 3rd cycle degree cover emergency radiography\, general radiography\, radiologic technology\, dose optimization\, radiation protection\, DEXA\, research in radiography. He is an author of more than 50 articles and conference papers and co-author of two books relating to radiologic technology and radiographic positioning. His main research fields are general radiography\, optimization in radiography\, image quality\, digital radiography\, dosimetry\, dose reference levels. He is the first and currently an only assistant professor of radiography in Slovenia.

Outside of academia\, Prasa is a lover of spending time with his wife\, son\, and extended family. He is also an Indian classical music enthusiast\, a mindfulness and life balance practitioner\, and budding cyclist. \nGrace Ming Yan Kwong\, MRT(R)(MR)(DMS)\, CBID: Grace is experienced in clinical mammography and breast sonography.  Grace is a registered technologist with CMRITO for Radiography\, MRI and Diagnostic Medical Sonography.  She performs screening and diagnostic mammograms\, breast ultrasound examinations and assists in interventional breast procedures on a daily basis.  She has been practicing as a dedicated breast technologist in Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre for ten years.  Grace holds an undergraduate HBSc in Toxicology from University of Toronto\, a BSc and an advance diploma in Medical Radiation Sciences (Radiological Technologies) from University of Toronto/ The Michener’s Institute; carries a Breast Ultrasound Certificate from the Medical Technology Management Institute and a Certificate in Breast Imaging – Diagnostic from CAMRT. \nSheetal Ruparelia\, MRT(R); PgC Mammography; BSc (Hons): Sheetal studied radiography in England where she got a BSc. (Hons) in Diagnostic Imaging and further pursued her career with her interest in breast imaging by attaining a PgC in Mammography. She qualified in 2006 and has practiced in various hospitals and clinics and held several responsibilities such as Quality assurance of Imaging department. She moved to Canada in 2016 where she attained her CAMRT certification and started working immediately in general radiography\, BMD and Mammography. Some of the X-ray circuit technology he developed is now used in ultrasonic fingerprint sensors in mobile phones and tablets. \nJay Potipcoe\, BA\, MRT(R): Jay is designated MRT with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)\, having worked at hospitals and private imaging facilities for the past years. Jay has a strong background in general radiography\, gastric fluoroscopy\, orthopaedic intraoperative C-arm fluoroscopy\, CT\, and portable trauma radiography in ER settings. He received further guidance and training at McMaster University Health Centre as well as two of three other major hospitals in the region. After graduating John was recruited by U of T\, Health Canada and the Regional Zone Hospital yo set up a mobile ultrasound program for remote First Nation’s of the Sioux Lookout Zone in Northwestern Ontario. It was such an important program and step forward in Healthcare for the region he stayed to oversee and work the program for nearly 22 years. Now retired he spends his time speaking to Healthcare organizations\, college programs in Di\, Mental Health and Childhood Education on Early Childhood Trauma\, Compassion\, and his former career in the north. He is in the arduous task of writing a book about his life which he has and does draw upon in all his work. \nAnnum Dawood\, MSc. Candidate Radiation Biology\, MRT (R)\,Annum is a registered technologist practicing in Ontario since 2016 and worked at a state-of-art Toronto hospital till 2018 after which she went on to pursue graduate studies at McMaster University.

He worked a couple of years in Beirut in MRI\, CT scan as well as General Radiography. In 2009\, he moved to Dubai and became a Manager of a Radiology Department in one of the leading medical groups in the country.  Beside his management position\, he was appointed as a Chair of Radiation Protection committee for our group of 2 Hospitals and 11 clinics. Currently she is working at Trillium Health Partners where she performs mammograms and breast ultrasounds. \nDr. Nejc Mekis\, PhD\, MSc\, rad. technol.\, MSc. ecotechnol\, BSc (Hons) radiography: currently working at the Faculty of Health Sciences\, the University of Ljubljana\, where he is head of research and head of radiology lab at the Medical imaging and radiotherapy department. His field of lectures at 1st\, 2nd and 3rd cycle degree cover emergency radiography\, general radiography\, radiologic technology\, dose optimization\, radiation protection\, DEXA\, research in radiography. He is an author of more than 50 articles and conference papers and co-author of two books relating to radiologic technology and radiographic positioning. His main research fields are general radiography\, optimization in radiography\, image quality\, digital radiography\, dosimetry\, dose reference levels. He is the first and currently an only assistant professor of radiography in Slovenia.

She has over 25 years of radiography teaching experience at different Universities in Canada and abroad. She is a registration committee member at the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO). She is certified with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). In 2017 she founded VCA Education Solutions for Health Professionals\, Inc. In 2018\, she was appointed to represent CMRITO at Accreditation Canada.\nMr. Al Khalidi has worked for 17 years in the disciplines of Radiography and MRI in different countries. Among other roles\, Mr. Al Khalidi was an MRI Clinical education specialist at Medical professionals providing training to technologists and Physicians on GE MRI machines and workstations. Training includes low and high field magnets (0.2Tesla\, 1.5Tesla\, 3Tesla). He was performing all routine and advanced MRI exams (neuro\, musculoskeletal\, body\, enhanced and non-enhanced angiographic exams\, cardiac\, total body\, brain perfusion\, spectroscopy and fiber tracking in addition to distal run off angiography. Currently Maryam is working as an Ultrasound Technologist in X-Ray Associates Inc in Newmarket Ontario. \nMr. Leonardo Faundez: Leonardo Faundez has been in the ultrasound field for 20+ years as a sonographer\, professor\, entrepreneur\, and lecturer. He is currently working in three roles: (1) owner/founder of Aprende Canada (www.aprendecanada.com) where he offers sonography continuing education on-site and online via webinars and videos\, (2) a vascular sonographer at Toronto West Vascular Lab (3) CPSO Technologist Assessor of Independent Health Facilities. He worked as a full-time sonographer and clinical instructor for about 9 years at UHN and had the chance to work in small healthcare facilities as well. He was also an ultrasound faculty at The Michener Institute for 10 years. He has presented at several national and international educational events on several sonography topics. He has volunteered as the Vascular Editor of the Canadian Journal of Medical Sonography (CJMS) for two years. He has a master’s degree in education from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from York University. He enjoys travelling with his wife\, playing soccer and DJing. \nMr. Anand Rattansingh: Mr. Rattansingh has a Masters Degree (City University/U of London\, UK\, 2001)\, and is RDMS\, RVT\, CRGS\, CRVT\, RT.\nHe has over 20 years’ experience in medical ultrasound\, in a wide range of applications. He also has an additional 6 years’ experience in x-ray based imaging\, including Computerized Tomography.\nHe has had various roles\, including managerial\, research and teaching positions. Currently Mr. Rattansingh works at UHN as a Sonographer/Research Assistant\, and also an external instructor for the Michener Institute\, Toronto\, where I deliver the Ultrasound Physics Course for overseas students.\nHe is also a reviewer for the Canadian Journal of Medical Sonography\, and an invited reviewer for the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine. Mr. Rattansingh is first author of three publications\, and co-author of a further three. He is also involved in volunteering abroad where he teaches ultrasound skills to physicians as well as technologists. \nMs. Sarah Zuccolo: Sarah graduated from McMaster University’s Medical Radiation Sciences program in 2017 under the Ultrasound specialty. She was then hired at McMaster Children’s Hospital where she has worked for 3 years. Through her experience at this centre she was trained in the specialties: pediatric ultrasound and high risk obstetrical ultrasound. She continues to learn and grow her skill daily with the very talented team of sonographers\, radiologists\, and MFM obstetricians she works with. \nMr. Glenn Gabrielpillai: Mr. Glenn Gabrielpillai has been a credentialed sonographer for 9 years\, graduating in 2011 from the Michener Institute. He has worked at numerous sites across Ontario\, including hospitals and clinics. Glenn has also taught at the Canadian National Institute of Health as an instructor for their DMS program. I took an early interest in MSK ultrasound due to my previous credentialing in personal training and have pursued education in that regard. I have since run several workshops in MSK ultrasound\, both privately and with CNIH.

After completing fellowship in Breast/Cross-sectional imaging at McMaster University’s Juravinski Hospital\, he is now an Associate Staff Radiologist at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre. His interests include women’s imaging\, GI and hepatobiliary imaging.  He loves teaching and have received an award as a Fellow Teacher and Mentor in my fellowship. His research interests are primarily in the field of quantitative imaging \nJia Inacio\, MBA\, BSc\, MRT(R)\, DMS: Jia has over 10 years of experience in Medical Imaging\, specializing in multi-modality Breast imaging.  Jia is a radiographer as well as a sonographer from the Michener institute\, and holds an MBA from the University of Toronto. Jia currently manages the Breast Health Clinic at Humber River hospital. \nSheetal Ruparelia\, MRT(R); PgC ; BSc (Hons): Sheetal finished her BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Imaging from the London South Bank University in June 2006. She has a keen interest in breast imaging and therefore obtained a post graduate certificate in mammography in May 2009\, from Kingston University. She has practiced in various government and private hospitals/clinics\, both in London\, England and Toronto\, Ontario. She has held roles to assist with maintaining quality assurance\, training and development of staff (new employees and less experienced staff). She currently works at Princess Margaret hospital. She takes great pride in educating people\, enhancing her knowledge through self-learning and working effectively in teams and on various projects. This makes her a pleasant and valuable team member. \nClaire Mercer (PhD): Currently Head of Radiography at the University of Salford with several external roles including membership of the organising committee for the Symposium Mammographicum Conference together with several external advisory roles. Academically based with several research interests working closely with clinical colleagues. A qualified Radiographer progressing into Mammography\, Advanced Practice and breast centre programme management\, with a MSc in Advanced Medical Imaging and a PhD centred around breast compression. Focused research within breast imaging focusing on the practical issues faced in the clinical environment\, such as compression force variability and improving positioning technique. \nPeter Hogg (PhD): Professor Emeritus\, University of Salford (UK) and Visiting (Chair) Professor\, Hanze University\, Netherlands\, Academic Department Advisor (Hong Kong University polytechnic). Professional qualifications in diagnostic radiography\, nuclear medicine and radiation protection. Research interests include breast cancer diagnosis using mammography\, and dose / image quality optimisation for X-ray technologies. Key academic positions held include Academic Head of Department\, MSc Programme Leader\, Research Dean\, Research Centre Director. Has thirty years of research and teaching experience in three academic institutions.

She quickly achieved promotion to Band 6 (Senior UK) Radiographer and was then put in charge of paediatric imaging for all imaging modalities\, but with specific focus in Non-Accidental Trauma. Her most recent employer was the prestigious Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury\, England.\nWhile in this senior position\, Jenny was trained in Computed Tomography (CT)\, interventional procedures\, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)\, and holds a certificate in Intravenous (IV) Cannulation\, allowing her to administer contrast media along with other drugs used to facilitate scans. Having recently returned to Canada with her young family after a 20-year absence\, Jenny completed the requirements of CAMRT to transfer her UK qualifications to work as a Canadian MRT\, and she is now a member in good standing with CMRTO.

Health Systems Management\, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine\, University of London\, UK (2006) and B.Sc. (Hons) in Radiography Anglia Polytechnic University\, Cambridge\, UK Applied Health Sciences Department\, Division of Radiography (1996). She has also received a FAETC: Further Adult and Education Teacher’s Certificate from the College of North-East London\, UK (1991)\, and a Diploma in Radiologic Technology American University of Beirut-Medical Centre Radiologic Technology Training Program\, Lebanon (1989). In 1994\, she has pursued further education and training in radiation safety sponsored by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at the International Center of Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste Italy. She has over 25 years of radiography teaching experience at different Universities in Canada and abroad.\nShe is a registration committee member at the College of Radiological Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO). She is certified with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). In 2017 she founded VCA Education Solutions for Health Professionals\, Inc. In 2018\, she was nominated for the OAMRS Practitioner of the Year award; and lately\, she was appointed to represent CMRTO at Accreditation Canada. \nMr. Alain Thibeau\, MA\, MR(NM): Following 37 years of dedicated service\, Alan retired from the Ottawa Hospital (TOH) in May 2018.\nIn his most recent role\, as Professional Practice and Radiation Safety Manager within medical imaging\, he was responsible for ensuring safe practice\, high quality imaging and the provision of appropriate education for approximately 350 medical radiation technologists (MRTs) and sonographers.\nHe was also responsible for the safe application of x-rays throughout TOH. In June 2018\, Alan completed a Master of Education through Athabasca University.\nHe is currently working as a Nuclear Medicine consultant\, specializing in radioimmunotherapy applications

He also has an additional 6 years’ experience in x-ray based imaging\, including Computerized Tomography.\nHe has had various roles\, including managerial\, research and teaching positions. Currently Mr. Rattansingh works at UHN as a Sonographer/Research Assistant\, and also an external instructor for the Michener Institute\, Toronto\, where I deliver the Ultrasound Physics Course for overseas students.\nHe is also a reviewer for the Canadian Journal of Medical Sonography\, and an invited reviewer for the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine. Mr. Rattansingh is first author of three publications\, and co-author of a further three. He is also involved in volunteering abroad where he teaches ultrasound skills to physicians as well as technologists. \nMs. Maryam Azizi: Maryam Azizi graduated as a Bachelor of Biology from Azad University (Iran/Tehran). She also was teaching Biology and Chemistry for about 5 years at Pharabi Academy (Iran/Tehran). She received her Art Diploma from Tehran Art Academy. She worked as a science research fellow for Organization of Bio-Technology Centre in 1997.\nMaryam Immigrated to Canada in 2001 and received her QCL Certificate Diploma from Academy of Applied Pharmaceutical Science in Toronto\, ON\nShe Graduated as a General Sonographer from Ultimate Diagnostic Imaging & CMA Medical Centre in Toronto\, ON\nShe is fully certified with ARDMS\, CMRITO\, and a registered\nmember of Sonography Canada. Currently Maryam is working as an Ultrasound Technologist in X-Ray Associates Inc in Newmarket Ontario. \nMs. Sue Soney: Sue Soney is Ojibway/ Potawatomi and a member of the Bkejwanong First Nation (Walpole Island).\nSue is a graduate of the Radiology Technologist program – Fanshawe College and the Ultrasound Technologist diploma program – Mohawk College.\nShe is a sonographer for more than 36 years. Her work experience includes various hospitals and clinics in London and Hamilton as a sonographer and prior to retirement\, ultrasound coordinator at Victoria Hospital in London.\nIn addition\, Sue worked for a few years as applications for a 3D ultrasound software company\, Life Imaging as well as applications contract work for Siemens Ultrasound. Since retirement in November 2018\, Sue has worked in Inuvik\, NWT as a locum ultrasound technologist and currently works as research sonographer at Robarts Research Institute in London and as a general sonographer 2 days a week at London Xray Associates. \nMs. Peri Abdullah: Peri completed a Bachelor degree in Medical Sciences at the University of Western Ontario\, followed by a Master’s degree in Human Health and Nutritional sciences at the University of Guelph.\nWhile these two degrees provided her with knowledge about the medical sciences\, she felt that she was not able to apply this knowledge practically. After much thought she realized that she was severely lacking clinical skills and joined the ultrasound program at the Michener Institute.\nAfter happily practicing as a full-time sonographer at the Credit Valley Hospital for 2 years\, she noticed some knowledge gaps surrounding prenatal ultrasound use in the literature. This prompted her to consider being involved in research in some capacity which\, after much thought and consideration\, led her to the PhD program at York University.\nAt York\, she was able to develop her research skills and expand her knowledge about the epidemiology of prenatal ultrasound\, a field that she is currently very passionate about.

Training includes low and high field magnets (0.2Tesla\, 1.5Tesla\, 3Tesla). He was performing all routine and advanced MRI exams (neuro\, musculoskeletal\, body\, enhanced and non-enhanced angiographic exams\, cardiac\, total body\, brain perfusion\, spectroscopy and fiber tracking in addition to distal run off angiography.
