Currently Maryam is working as an Ultrasound Technologist in X-Ray Associates Inc in Newmarket Ontario. \nMs. Sue Soney: Sue Soney is Ojibway/ Potawatomi and a member of the Bkejwanong First Nation (Walpole Island).\nSue is a graduate of the Radiology Technologist program – Fanshawe College and the Ultrasound Technologist diploma program – Mohawk College.\nShe is a sonographer for more than 36 years. Her work experience includes various hospitals and clinics in London and Hamilton as a sonographer and prior to retirement\, ultrasound coordinator at Victoria Hospital in London.\nIn addition\, Sue worked for a few years as applications for a 3D ultrasound software company\, Life Imaging as well as applications contract work for Siemens Ultrasound. Since retirement in November 2018\, Sue has worked in Inuvik\, NWT as a locum ultrasound technologist and currently works as research sonographer at Robarts Research Institute in London and as a general sonographer 2 days a week at London Xray Associates. \nMs. Peri Abdullah: Peri completed a Bachelor degree in Medical Sciences at the University of Western Ontario\, followed by a Master’s degree in Human Health and Nutritional sciences at the University of Guelph.\nWhile these two degrees provided her with knowledge about the medical sciences\, she felt that she was not able to apply this knowledge practically. After much thought she realized that she was severely lacking clinical skills and joined the ultrasound program at the Michener Institute.\nAfter happily practicing as a full-time sonographer at the Credit Valley Hospital for 2 years\, she noticed some knowledge gaps surrounding prenatal ultrasound use in the literature. This prompted her to consider being involved in research in some capacity which\, after much thought and consideration\, led her to the PhD program at York University.\nAt York\, she was able to develop her research skills and expand her knowledge about the epidemiology of prenatal ultrasound\, a field that she is currently very passionate about.
